Dr.Madhivanan Natarajan, Chairman of M. N. Eye Hospital Pvt. Ltd. has 25 years of dedicated eye care service experience and is the first ophthalmic surgeon to introduce Phacoemulsification surgery for treatment of cataract in Tamil Nadu, hence often fondly called as Father of Phaco Surgery in Tamil Nadu. His credentials are M.B.B.S, M.S., D.O., from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology – Chennai. He did his Vitreo Retinal fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya – Chennai. His Phaco emulsification training was at Kiryu Institute and Nishi Eye Hospital in Japan. He has attended State, National and International Ophthalmic Conferences and has presented more than 200 Research and Scientific papers in these conferences.
His experience compelled him to multiple his knowledge by training more than 150 Ophthalmologists in the procedure of Phacoemulsification around the globe. He is the first Retinal surgeon to introduce Green Laser for Diabetic retinopathy in India. Dr.Madhivanan Natarajan conducts several Instructional Courses and seminars at State and National conferences for practicing Ophthalmologists and Post graduate Students. At M. N. Eye Hospital he conducts Regular Training Programs for Ophthalmologists in the field of Phacoemulsification and Medical Retina.

Dr.Chalini Madhivanan
Dr.Chalini Madhivanan, Medical Director of M. N. Eye Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneer in refractive surgery & pediatric ophthalmology. Dr.Chalini Madhivanan was graduated from Madurai Medical College and Post Graduated in Ophthalmology at Regional Institute of Ophthalmology & Government Ophthalmic Hospital - Chennai. She has under gone special trainings in Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship in 1983 at Sankara Nethralaya, Intra Ocular Lens Implantation & Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Institute of Clinical Ophthalmology Kiryu Eye clinic – Japan in 1986.
In addition to this she also underwent training on customized contact lens fitting at Jinshiki Medical Foundation – Nishi Eye Hospital in Osaka – Japan in 1986. Dr.Chalini Madhivanan has presented more than 100 papers in State and International Ophthalmic Conferences and has conducted more than 25 Scientific Courses at State and All India Conferences. Dr.Chalini Madhivanan wrote a book in Tamil “Pulanuruppugal - Thoguthy III” on Eye under ‘Thamil Valarchi Kalagam” which was published in 1996 by Central Government. Dr. M. Nivean, the Directors for Academics of M.N Eye Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is a well-trained ophthalmic surgeon in both Anterior and Posterior segment surgeries. He had his Basic training in Ophtalmology (M.S) in Aravind eye care system, Madurai 2008 one of the most Premier Institutes for Post – Graduate Education , under the able guidance of Dr. Prajna N.V and then completed his fellowship in Vitreous and Retina under Dr. Lingam Gopal of the renowned institute Sankara Nethralaya in 2010. He is one of the youngest surgeon in the country to have performed over 4000 surgeries that include SICS, Phaco Emulsification, Multifocal ,Vitrectomy , Retinal detachment surgeries , Macular Hole surgery and Scleral fixated IOLs.

Dr.Pratheeba Devi Nivean,
Is an Oculoplastic Surgeon. She had her basic training in Ophthalmology (DO) in Aravind eye care system (Madurai) one of the Premier Institutes for Post – Graduate Education. She then completed DNB (ophthalmology) from Sankara Nethralaya under the training of Dr. Meenakshi. She did her superspeciality training on Orbit and Oculoplasty in Sankara Nethralaya under the guidance of Dr. Bipasha Mukherjee and Dr. Nirmala Subramaniyam. She has performed over 2000 surgeries that include SICS, Phaco Emulsification, Dacryocystorhinostomies, lid surgeries (Ptosis, Entropion and Ectropion), Socket reconstructions. She has presented papers in many state and national conferences. She has publications in peer-reviewed journals also.
Dr. Nishanth,
Dr. Nishanth the Clinical Director of MN Eye Hospital completed his Under-graduation (MBBS) from Rajah Muthiah Medical College and finished his Masters (MS Ophthal) from the prestigious institute of Aravind eye Hospital Madurai in 2012. Underwent Fellowship training in Cornea and refractive Surgery from Sankara Nethralya Chennai under the guidance of leading corneal surgeons like Dr.Prema Padmanaban, Dr.Geetha krishnan Iyar and Dr.Bhaskar Srinivasan.
He has performed more than 7000 cataract surgeries including Phacoemulsification, and SICS and specializes in lamellar surgeries and LASIK too. Has a keen interest on training other ophthalmologists both national and international in cataract surgeries.
He is also interested in tennis has an all India ranking and a guitarist as well.

She did her under graduation (MBBS) From Kilpauk medical college with distinction in Ophthalmology, Completed her MS (Ophthalmology) from Aravind eye hospital (Madurai), She is doing her Fellowship in Pediatric and Strabismology from the Pioneer institute of Sankara Nethralya (Chennai) under the Guidance of Dr.Meenakshi Swaminathan and Dr.Sumitha Agarkar.
She has done over 3000 cataract surgeries including Phacoemulsification, SICS, and pediatric surgeries like Congenital cataract and Squint surgeries both simple and complicated. She specializes in Low vision aids and visual rehabilitation therapy for children. She has presented many papers and posters in national and international level conferences.
